Merry Christmas everyone!

心情，软软的，暖暖的

岁末年终，好像事事接近尾声似的；能飞回家人的都飞走了，实验室里也是空空荡荡的没有人气。到处都很安静，心里，也是前所未有的平静。什么也不想的时候，人最平静。
今天天气出奇的好，碧空万里，一丝云彩也没有，太阳明晃晃的，很暖和。冬日里难得的好天气，我早早结束了实验，去同事家照顾他的猫，路上经过一家咖啡店，破例给自己买了杯大磨卡，握在手里，身上和心里都是暖暖的。昨天去的时候，小猫对我很有敌意，好像还试图攻击我来着，露出尖尖的爪子，嗓子眼发出噜噜的声音，让我很是敬而远之的。听从了Greg的建议，今天进了门，我没有忙着要和小猫搞好关系，填好了猫食，我直接坐到了沙发上。果不其然，小猫对我很好奇，一番熟悉拍抚后，竟然是跳到我身上打起了盹，很慵懒，很可爱。冬日的下午，外面的阳光亮亮的，旁边的工地一直响着大卡车的轰鸣；房间里暖暖的，我身上窝着只黄色的毛茸茸的小猫咪，眯着眼睛享受我的爱抚；电视调到了小声，其实也没注意看，我手里捧着我的paper，就这样打发了两个小时，充分享受我的咖啡，没有不适，只有安详。
傍晚时分，天又有些阴了，没有月亮，也没有星星；点灯的家里，多半已经布置好了圣诞装饰，Halifax已经一片节日的气氛了；匆匆滑过身边的车辆，是忙着回家的人们，整个城市都好安静，好安静。
我慢慢踱回自己的小窝，像往常一样打开邮箱瞄了一眼。邮箱里，一只邮包静静无声，心里什么地方“叮”地一声，突然就觉得很感动，其实还不知道邮包里装的是什么，是谁寄的，是不是寄错。那是老朋友寄来的圣诞礼物，前几天收到她的结婚邀请和婚纱照，今天又是一重惊喜。这样的朋友，让我每次想起，都觉得很幸运，很感恩。HP今天还说，我的朋友都是那样的宠爱我，我说我知道。就是这样被宠着，我何其幸运，何其幸运！
今晚上煮了面条，静静的品，慢慢地吃，填饱了肚子，又打了个盹。把两个壁橱都清了，今天作了Laundry，感觉很清新。晚上Greg打来电话，静静的谈天，没有起伏。
我就这样在电脑前，把“静”打了满篇，心里，真的是暖暖的。不写了，休息一下，开始工作：）

Christmas Party

Long before I came into this apartment, I heard good things about the fancy departmental Christmas Party. Unfortunately, for some unknown reasons (at least unknown to me), we did not have one last year. It was quite disappointing although at the same time a relief. Because at that time, I did not have a proper dress for such an event. This past summer, I went home for a happy vacation, of course. I got this wonderful Chinese dress from my cousin. It was so gorgeous that the first time I saw it, I decided to wear it for the Christmas Party:)
Since I came back from home, a lot of things happened, good or bad. I have to say the stress was quite unbelievable and in the end, I lost probably 10 pounds. Not surprisingly, I am smaller now. Things changed during the past month and I feel myself again. The problem was, the "gorgeous dress" was big on me now. Fortunately, I found this slip which perfectly fits the dress.
Of course I dressed up for the party! My friend put make up on a professional level on me, too. So, here I am. I was told I was the hottest person in the party that night:p Hahahaha, so flattering...
I had a great night, too. I had never danced so much in my life. The boss even said I was a good dancer, which, to my fully knowledge, is not true:)
